The Sixty Sixth Dream Of The Waiting Prince

Now this morning my Lord spoke to me of his dream of the night before. And he said to me, “My dear scribe, last night as I slept, I dreamt. And in this dream, I lay upon a bed of ice. And there were marks upon the skin of my feet, where the laces of my shoes had been tied too tight. And there were marks upon the skin of my legs, where the garters of my socks had been tied too tight. And there were marks upon the skin of my hips, where the belt I wore had been tied too tight. And there were marks around my wrists, where the ropes of my bonds had been tied too tight. And there were marks around my mouth, where the gag of my silence had been tied too tight. And there were marks around my eyes, where the blindfold had been tied too tight. And there was a wound around my scalp, where the crown had been wrenched from my skull. And there was a line around my neck, where the garrotte had been pulled tight. And there was a hole in my chest, where your betrayal had pierced my heart.”
