Oh and he broke the swing, remember?<br \/>\n<strong>Tina:<\/strong> That was ages ago.<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> And he apologised.<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> What&#8217;s <em>that<\/em> got to do with anything? It&#8217;s still a crime. So who&#8217;s next? Daniel?<br \/>\n<strong>Daniel:<\/strong> He&#8217;s been trying to steal my dreams.<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> What?<br \/>\n<strong>Tina: <\/strong>How?<br \/>\n<strong>Daniel:<\/strong> I dreamt he was asleep and dreaming he was me and when I asked him to stop he said no.<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> That doesn&#8217;t even make any sense.<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> It does.<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> It doesn&#8217;t. Which makes it even <strong>worse<\/strong>.<em> <em>(pause)<\/em> <\/em>Good evidence Daniel.<br \/>\n<strong>Tina:<\/strong> I think he stole my poetry book.<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> No one stole your poetry book. It was exactly where I said it would be! In that drawer in your bedroom that you forgot to look in before for some reason!<br \/>\n<strong>Tina:<\/strong> Well, maybe he put it back there. Anyway, I still think he stole it. He definitely looked at it.<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> That&#8217;s not evidence. That&#8217;s supposition.<br \/>\n<strong>Tina:<\/strong> Well it&#8217;s better than <em>insinuation<\/em>.<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> It&#8217;s not!<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> So why do you think the lodger stole your poetry book, Tina?<br \/>\n<strong>Tina:<\/strong> He quoted one of my poems back to me.<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> What does that prove?<br \/>\n<strong>Tina:<\/strong> My poems are a secret!<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> That&#8217;s stupid. Secret poems might as well not even exist.<br \/>\n<strong>Tina:<\/strong> Well now they exist and I don&#8217;t like it.<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> I hope Ethel&#8217;s evidence is better than that!<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> It is! <em>(pause)<\/em> Wait, I mean, it&#8217;s exactly as compelling as that, Tina.<br \/>\n<strong>Tina:<\/strong> Thank you!<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> So anyway&#8230; the lodger has been spying on Anna and Oya!<br \/>\n<strong>Tina:<\/strong> What? That&#8217;s awful!<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> I know! And even worse, he&#8217;s been passing off Anna&#8217;s opinions as his own!<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> How&#8217;s that worse?<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> They&#8217;re her thoughts, Claire! Not his! It&#8217;s plagiarism.<br \/>\n<strong>Tina:<\/strong> Plagiarism of the mind.<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> Maybe she&#8217;s passing off his opinions as HERS!<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> She wouldn&#8217;t!<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> She would!<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> Whose side are you on Claire? I thought you hated the lodger! I bet he&#8217;s never even read a book! Anna&#8217;s read <em>loads<\/em> of them!<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> I do hate him. But that doesn&#8217;t mean I should just believe anything you say about him. This is a court of law!<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> Why can&#8217;t you agree with anyone, Claire? Just once. Please.<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> Because I&#8217;m right and you&#8217;re wrong! <em>(pause)<\/em> Although actually this time I do agree with you, Ethel. Because no one would pretend to have opinions as awful as his. Not even stupid old Anna!<br \/>\n<strong>Ethel:<\/strong> Stop being mean to Anna, Claire!<br \/>\n<strong>Claire:<\/strong> No! This is all her fault.
