\u201cI hope not,\u201d Tina said. \u201cHow would you like it if you looked out the window and some strange giant was staring in at you?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLike David!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOr Simon!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019d be so weird,\u201d Daniel agreed.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnyway, of course they can see us,\u201d Claire said. \u201cThey\u2019re goldfish no blindfish!\u201d<\/p>\n

But what if their brains can\u2019t even perceive our existence?\u201d Tina said. \u201cLike those frogs that can only see flies if they\u2019re flying around like flies?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThose frogs are stupid!\u201d Claire said. \u201cMy goldfish aren\u2019t stupid.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re stupid!\u201d Ethel said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am not stupid!\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cImagine if there\u2019s things out there watching us right now that we can\u2019t perceive<\/em>,\u201d Daniel said, as he peered slowly out the window. \u201cJust because they don\u2019t move like people<\/em>!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLike David!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd Simon!\u201d<\/p>\n
