\nsuddenly remembered old shame that feels like new again
\npens with no lids
\npens with wrong lids

\nremembering the existence of tipp ex
\nbut not the spelling
\nitchiness
\nvague unease
\nslight twinge in neck
\nforgotten promise
\na strange desire to disown myself
\nbedraggled cat wrapped in towel
\nthe use of actual money in an actual shop in the actual world in actual life
\nsomeone saying something and then you saying something and then someone else saying something and then you saying something and then you saying something else then you both saying something then someone saying something then a long lingering silence then you saying something then
\na market stall filled with bags of unmarked meat
\nlooking out of the window only to notice someone else looking in the window
\ncontrails forming noughts and crosses board
\ndreams of the moon
\nan overabundance of sweat despite total inactivity
\nbloodied gums
\ndistant fox screams
\nthe same song on repeat for over half an hour
\nbed time
\ndeath
