New Brothers Grimm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Somehow my <a href=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/things\/category\/a-thousand-and-one-tales\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">A Thousand And One<\/a> fairy tales project has reached <a href=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/things\/2020\/03\/06\/tale-100-old-hope\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Tale #100<\/a> today, and to celebrate that I&#8217;ve decided to make some new tales explicitly out of old ones, rather than just sort of generally out of old ones.<\/p>\n<p>And so, in <a href=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/things\/category\/the-new-brothers-grimm\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The New Brothers Grimm<\/a>, I take sentences, paragraphs, and fragments of original Brothers Grimm tales, and then re-assemble them into something new. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/things\/2020\/03\/06\/the-first-new-tale\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The First New Tale<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/things\/2020\/03\/07\/the-second-new-tale\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Second New Tale<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/things\/2020\/03\/08\/the-third-new-tale\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Third New Tale<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/things\/2020\/03\/09\/the-fourth-new-tale\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Fourth New Tale<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/things\/2020\/03\/17\/the-twelfth-new-tale\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Twelfth New Tale<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/things\/2020\/03\/18\/the-thirteenth-new-tale\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Thirteenth New Tale<\/a><\/p>\n<p>__________<\/p>\n<p>Notes:<\/p>\n<p>1. <em>All of these were made in February and March 2020<\/em><br \/>\n2. <em>They were all made using sentences from the Jack Zipes translations used in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/Complete-Fairy-Tales-Brothers-Grimm\/dp\/0099511444\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Complete Fairy Tales<\/a> collection, published in 2007 by Vintage.<\/em><br \/>\n3. <em>Various minor changes to nouns, tenses, names, etc, were made to keep things consistent.<\/em><br \/>\n4. <em>In a similar way to the <a href=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/things\/2019\/09\/09\/in-the-terminals-of-minraud\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">In The Terminals Of Minraud<\/a> trilogy of Burroughs cut-ups I made last year.<\/em><br \/>\n5. <em>Which I thought might be interesting at the time<\/em><br \/>\n6. <em>But which proved not to be interesting at all<\/em><br \/>\n7. <em>To
