I had a dream about cats
\nand going to the special cat park
\nwhere all the stray cats live
\nin nice little brick cottages
\nwhich look like human houses
\nexcept they’re only six foot high<\/p>\n
Non-stray cats are allowed in the park too
\nas long as they’re on leads<\/p>\n
And people are only allowed in if they’re walking their cat
\non a lead
\nor two cats, on two leads
\nor three on three
\nand so on
\nup to whatever the theoretical cats on leads limit is<\/p>\n
But I didn’t have a cat
\nbecause I was catless
\nso I had to watch from outside
\nthrough the railings<\/p>\n
I bought a postcard from the shop by the gates
\nand a magnet for my fridge
\nand listened to the stray cats sing
\nand watched the non-stray cats dance
\nwhich they all did
\nfor an hour
\nat dusk
\nevery sunday<\/p>\n
Once it got dark they locked the gates
\nand everyone and their cats went home<\/p>\n
And who knew what it was the stray cats did then
\nin their houses
\nin the dark
\nin the park
\nwhere the stray cats live<\/p>\n
