It&#8217;s a pretty good plot, to be honest, and beats the usual Fatty Arbuckle storyline, where he&#8217;s just relentlessly unpleasant for 20 minutes for reasons I find difficult to discern.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy003s.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"586\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-565\" srcset=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy003s.png 800w, https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy003s-300x220.png 300w, https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy003s-768x563.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also an almost non-stop cavalcade of jokes (including an incredible window cleaning gag from Buster Keaton), with a nice line in slightly surreal humour, and some good use of pulleys and contraptions too, which I always like (though nothing on the scale of the stuff Buster Keaton contrives in <a href=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/2020\/01\/13\/the-scarecrow-1920\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Scarecrow<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy005s.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"399\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-567\" srcset=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy005s.png 800w, https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy005s-300x206.png 300w, https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy005s-768x528.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Towards the end, they run out of hotel jokes and stage a bank robbery instead, presumably so Buster Keaton can show off his incredible range of acrobatic skills. There&#8217;s a five minute fight, followed by a motorbike chase, and a runaway tram. It&#8217;s pretty exciting.<\/p>\n<p>THE END<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy006s.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"598\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-564\" srcset=\"https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy006s.png 800w, https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy006s-300x224.png 300w, https:\/\/accumulationofthings.com\/100\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/bellboy006s-768x574.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>__________<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> <em>I watched this on blu-ray yet again.
